Geneva Burke passed away February 17, 2010. Geneva and her husband Chuck adopted both Hilary and Clinton from Second Chances Dalmatian Rescue. Over the years, this organization has benefited greatly from Geneva’s dedication to helping the animals and becoming a champion for their cause. She was always passing on legislative issues that involved animal rights and could sell 50/50 raffle tickets like no one else could. She was happily involved with our Ohio State vs Michigan Fundraiser and proudly obtained an autographed Jim Tressel Football. This started an annual tradition of raffling off a ‘Buckeyes’ package at our annual picnic. We will carry on this tradition and this year, it will be in honor of her memory. Her compassion and love of life (especially Ohio State Football) will be missed! Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family during this difficult time.
