This bi-eyed beauty is named Pekoe. Pekoe is a 10 year old, 45 # female Dalmatian that was an owner surrender. She is housebroken and willingly uses the doggie door when her foster family is home. Upon entering into rescue Pekoe had been crated, however, since she is such a good girl and doesn’t chew anything up, she is free to roam the house. Pekoe is a happy, funny girl that loves people and kids (she previously lived with 3 little kids – she LOVES kids!) and she gets along well with other dogs and cats. Being a mature girl, Pekoe likes some of the simpler things in life, like short walks and cuddling on the couch. Pekoe does well on a leash (she doesn’t pull or tug), however, she is a “home body” preferring to stay close to the house on her walks. (She would actually prefer to stay home and follow you around the kitchen). Pekoe has an unsteady gait and has had some Chiropractic work done on her, although she has improved her weak back end makes it difficult for her to do more then 4 steps at a time. Pekoe is also a talker and is not afraid to let you know if she wants something. The other day Pekoe “asked” her foster mom to hold her bone for her while she chewed on it – Silly Girl!! With Pekoe’s loving outlook on life as well as her gentle nature, she should do well in most any type of home, however, please remember that SHE has a low activity level.
