Meet Gabby! She is cute as a button and is a petite, 40 pound dalmatian mix who was taken to the shelter because her family could no longer keep her. She is simply adorable and is ready to go to a new forever home!
She is housetrained and learned how to use a doggie door in a matter of minutes. She is approximately 2 years old, gets along well with other dogs, kids and hasn’t met a person she doesn’t like!
She is crate-trained and sleeps there at night although she would love to share a bed with her humans! She is a little bit of a jumper (especially when food is involved) but she is very gentle. She loves to give little kisses and has fit right in to her new foster home. Gabby is currently being fostered in Dallas, Texas but we can arrange for transport to one of our volunteers in the Midwest if you are interested in adopting her.
UPDATE DONATIONS NEEDED
We have just found out that Gabby has two bad knees. She has a luxating patella in BOTH knees which means that her knee pops out of joint easily and with prolonged activity. We have scheduled surgery for her on January 7th and the cost of the surgery and rehabilitation is approximately $1500. She will not be ready to go to a forever home until after her full recovery which will be approximately the first part of April. With two new knees Gabby will be good as new and will live a normal, active life! She will be in Columbus, OH during her surgery and recovery
